Well, here they are, my own designs for the past runway show.
The theme for this runway was "revolution" and I took it from the point of view of leaders, the people who are at the top of a revolution and put their face with courage in front of their people's enemy. And so, I created three dresses for three different female leaders: the first one "Lyra" represents the nasty part of the revolution, the moment people start to fight and everything is exposed to the world to hear. The second design "Joanne", represents the second stage of this revolution, when the fight and the courage turns vital because one fail movement can change everything... for bad or for good. And the third dress "Éowyn", is the complete female leader, the leader that achieved victory after a long long long fight, she is the revolution.
The dress at the top (the white one with red) is the prototype that every designer had to make, it was like the try-out of the whole collection and it was exposed at the beggining of the runway. The idea of it was representing the people behind the leaders, the people that leave their blood for the cause.
And, the last picture (at the bottom) is the dress I made for the photoshoot and represents the voice of the revolution.

I had the best of fun doing all this designs, I learnt a loooot from everyone involved in the runway (designers, photographers, models) and I felt really well, I felt complete... very complete. It was the best to watch the models with my designs on the runway, after so much work it was beautiful and so emotional. Oh, I do hope I can become a reconigsed designer... I'll work for it! :)

What else?? Oh, well, I'm designing an other dress, one for my new haute couture collection... it's a lot of work but it's getting soooo freakiing cool!
And, I bought a new camara, a beautiful Fujifilm S1600 that's my new best mate! I have this huge need of take photographs of everything.

Twenty-one

I've always loved celebrating my birthday, cooking and baking and cleaning and getting everything ready for my guests. Yesterday, it was my 21st birthday. Can't believe it yet, how can I be this age. But, suddenly and unlike other people, I do not feel old, I feel young, so very young and free and full of energy to spare and give to the world. I want to jump, and run, and ride my bike, and travel, and give a kiss, receive a kiss, scape, return, have a lot of many different experiences. I feel like I have the world all in one same path, all waiting for me to put my boots on and walk through it until my star lights out. I think, I think I'm gonna do it... I'm gonna put my boots on and walk straigh to whatever it comes, always with a smile ^^

A lot of people came home to celebrate my bday. I loved at one moment when I stopped carrying juice and coffe and looked how everyone where laughing and talking and eating, so happy, so gathered, all of them there with me creating this small and safe place in the world where everything was perfect and happy and sweet.
I thank them all like a thousand times but I still feel I can thank them more, they made me so happy and I'm not sure they understood how important they are for me, how wonderful was for me to be there with me around this pink with green words cake (carried by Hagrid of course!).

It's been a year since I started this blog. A year!! And I learnt a looooot of things, silly ones and important ones. This year, nevertheless, I feel is gonna be so much better, so more full of experiences -even maybe a kiss-. I'm so excited!

Fireflies- JUST HAVE A LITTLE FAITH

I have few songs that make me feel better when I'm down, few in the world of music that make me face smile once again even when I'm crying. This song, for this reason or another is one of those that lights my heart and my face. For that reason I'm posting it... just to listen Adam Young's voice singing about fireflies and dreams while I smile.

Today I've learn: I'm not alone, I have friends and family but still... I can't hear my heart.
To repeat: JUST HAVE A LITTLE FAITH. Quote from Prision Break, the one that every actor repeats until I fully swallowed it. Now, I have to "just have a little faith".

10 things

I sent this two necklaces to engrave during my holidays, the first one is a heart made with the G cleff and the Bass cleff (my friend Meli has the same one, we both go to the same piano lessons) and the second one are the three words that give me strengh when I need it.

10 things.

001. I am a very curious person. I enjoy serching stuff on books or Internet like the kind of food gnomes would eat, or the dresses that Elizabeth I used to wear during her Golden Age, or read whichever book is in front of me just because I'm curious about its content.

002. Although I am curious and like to know different stuff, I also like to leave a lotof things in mystery, even he simplest ones, so I can have the oportunity to be surprised. I like surprises.

003. Supernatural, Dr House, Kingdom Hospital, Carnivale, Friends and The Big Band Theory... all my favourites.

004. Inspite I'm studying a lot of things (Art, English, Fashion Design, Piano) and do some others (Illustration, writing) I do not know what to pursue for my life, yet. I like doing all of them and I'm starting more things this year... Maybe, just maybe, all of that goes in the same direction, right? Could that be?? I just have to figure out what is that direction, what's in the end of the road.

005. I'm a very good cook and I especialise in deserts and cakes and cupcakes and everything else sweet. ^^

006. I tend to worry too much about things... This year I'm trying to change that a bit, and it goes good so far.

007. I like being alone sometimes.

008. I have a younger sister and a younger brother whom I love. My first tattoo was in their name.

009. I like floral perfumes.

010. I'm still determined to save enough money to move to England and start my grown-up life there.

Alright, this is everything for now. I'll be going to a friend's house this afternoon and stay there some days before I start studying... again.

This 10 things thing was copied from Devorelebeaumonstre because, well, I liked it and thought it would be a would thing to bring up this blog a bit. Soon, I'll be posting more things about the fashion styles I'm interesting now so I can organize my mind and own style a bit... or maybe I'll start writing short stories again, I don't know. Holidays make me wanna do a lot of things at the same time, not quite possible but at least I never get bored.

Sewing like a mad girl

This Sunday I'll be going to the beach with my Uni friends so I decided to make me some dresses.
I used only one same pattern (just because I didn't have time to make anything more elaborated) for the three dresses I made, but I tried to make them as different as I could... using buttons and lace.

This was the first dress and it's the most simple one and... it has POCKETS :). It's called "Emily"

I named this dress-kind of-t-shirt "Marina" and it ties on the neck.

I added different kinds of lace and some perls on the front as details.

This last dress is called "Lucrecia" and it also have pockets on the sides.

And the back is just like this.

I really like what came out of this few time, a single pattern and some fabrics that were hidden on my drawers. ^^

Gimme gimme gimme

Well, ABBA surely gives rythm to my day!!! They sound so great, so energetic and cool... makes me wanna dance! Yeah, dance... this is one of the few kinds of music that would make me dance!!! Weird.
ABBA has great songs, many many great songs, but for this reason or another "Gimme gimme gimme" is the song for today, funny (don't know how!)!! Yeah, I do know how and why... Rose knows. Give ya a hint: "bus-bishi"!!! :P
I'm planning my whole weekend for a special project I have to finish due Wednesday about a weird helmet with paintings of different scenarios, etc.

Big news: My mum finished editing my novel so I have to re-read it again (like for the sixth time!) and then I'll try to make it be published! I like the story very much and though it has some similarities with some books I love, it got my blood on it so it's very special and unique... I think. I just hope I'll have some spare time soon so I can re-read it, though that seems unlikely 'cause Uni got me by the neck. Furthermore, we're already at the end of May!!! Can't believe how time flew so fast... didn't see it... and as May is almost living us big exams are aproaching silently but scary. I'd like to have a whole week for doing nothing... or maybe read, yeah, read please! Start reading the books I bought at the Book Fair and which I haven't touched yet; I feel so horrible for this, so horrible!!

What else?? Oh, yeah,... found an interesting guy in the bus, saw him twice (he saw me as well!) though the second time I thought he was someone else so I pretend not to see him. Big mistake!!! I'm suddenly visible for some people that four months ago I would have being invisible for sure... Hum, don't want to think about that now. No.

Today I've learn: I'm so naif sometimes...
